Posted on: 03-15-08 02:50 PM     Posted by: Eric Bobrow

You can get ArchiCAD to interrogate your printer/plotter to find out what its minimium margins are.? Open the Settings of your Master Layout, use the pulldown menu next to your specified sheet size and select either ?Import settings from Printer or Import settings from Plotter.? This will display your minimium margins in the boxes to the right.? Be carefull though if you out-source your printing and plotting, as their margins may be different to yours and you may get scaling issues.

When adding text you have two options for Scalability, Scaled and Fixed.? Scaled means that the size of the text will change with the scale, Fixed means that the text will always show at the size nominated on the Layout.? The default is to have this set to Fixed, so that when you change the output scale the text remans at the height you specified.
